First black female elected in landslide Sandwell vote

Councillor John Edwards has tweeted his welcome to Councillor Jackie Taylor, the first black female to be elected onto Sandwell Council.

She held the greets Green and Lyng Ward for the Labour party, with a landslide majority of 1749 votes, beating her UKIP rival more than 2 votes to 1, with Jackie Nock enticing 833 crosses on ballot papers.
