Police search for thieves who stole two birds of prey

Police are appealing for information after two birds of prey were stolen from an aviary in the garden of a home in Derby.

Thieves broke into the aviary in Holme Lane, in Spondon between 7.30pm on Saturday 10 April and 9.45am the next morning.

They cut the padlocks to the room and took a European eagle own and a kestrel, that had both been rescued by the owner. The kestrel has a damaged wing and cannot fly.
