The runway at East Midlands Airport is closed after part of the landing gear of a cargo plane failed after landing.

The aircraft involved was a Boeing 737 Freighter. The only people on board were two flight crew, and there were no injuries.

The Irish Air Accident Investigation Unit and UK Air Accident Investigation Branch have been informed.
