Darius is no normal rabbit - he's 4ft 3in from nose to tail, and he's still growing despite being only a year old!

The beast of a bunny weighs 3st 7lb, eats 12 carrots, six apples and two cabbages a day, and will keep growing for at least six more months.

The Continental Giant has been bred by former pet shop owner Annette Edwards from Worcester, who has experience reaching world beating bunnies, she's previously had three others in the record books.

Darius has stolen the title from his mother Alice, who at 3ft 3in is now a foot shorter than her son.

Miss Edwards, 59, is now waiting confirmation Darius has officially clinched the title.

She said:

"He is very gentle and I wonder if this has helped him grow bigger than the rest. But he also runs around, so the combination of food and exercise has worked out for him.The frightening thing is that Darius is still growing so he could be absolutely massive by the time he reaches full size."
