New Midland Metro trams will be hitting the tracks this summer - and, ahead of a public showing at Birmingham's Snow Hill tomorrow, ITV News Central was invited to hop on board to take a ride.
The general manager of Midland Metro has welcomed five new £1.8 million trams set to hit the tracks in the summer.
Dean Watkins told ITV News Central around five million people use the line every year, and said the new trams could "only be a good thing" for the region, both in terms of improving public transport and by encouraging investment.
