General Manager of Nottingham Express Transit, Paul Robinson, says the company is 'proud' of the service they've delivered over a ten year period.
We can look back on a superb ten year period that has seen local residents and people from further afield discover the convenience of travelling by tram.
We are very proud of the service we deliver and the tram sets Nottingham apart from many other leading cities in the country. With somewhere between 8 million and 10 million passenger journeys a year, NET has made a major impact on local public transport services.
As part of our anniversary celebrations, we’ve involved both customers and staff as we look forward to exciting times ahead.
Nottingham City Council has also praised the benefits of the network to the city's economy. Councillor Jane Urquhart said:
Nottingham’s tram continues to be a really successful part of the city and its reputation. It has already brought economic development through Line One and we look forward to the expanded network doing the same.”
