The fire at Ironbridge Power Station, which broke out at around 6am this morning, has now been brought 'under control'.
Roxanne Postle, Press Officer for E.ON - who own the plant in Shropshire - said:
"We can confirm that there was a fire at Ironbridge Power Station in the turbine hall early this morning. The fire service is on site and the issue has been brought under control. No one was injured during the incident and we will be conducting a full investigation."
