Five in custody over death of British tourist in St Lucia

Police in St Lucia say they have arrested two further people in connection with the murder of a Warwickshire tourist who was travelling around the world with his wife.

St. Lucia murder: police commissioner apologises to family

The Police Commissioner for St. Lucia has apologised to the family of a Warwickshire man killed defending his wife from attackers.

Roger Pratt, 62, was killed on board the couple's yacht in Vieux Fort on Friday night, police said.

His wife, Margaret, was treated for injuries in hospital and has since been released.

Vernon Francis has moved to reassure tourists, saying while St. Lucia "is not perfect" it is "a safe country."
