Memorial for Kegworth air disaster victims 25 years on

Today marks 25 years since one of the UK's worst air disasters, when 47 people died after a British Midland Boeing 737 en route to Belfast crashed into an embankment on the M1 during an attempted emergency landing at East Midlands airport.

A service has taken place in the village of Kegworth, to remember the 47 people who died in the air crash that happened on the nearby M1 motorway, 25 years ago today.
