Firefighters have voted to hold another strike next week. It comes after two walk-outs over Bonfire Weekend, with strikes held on Friday evening and Monday morning.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service dealt with five emergencies during the strike. These included an unattended bonfire in Warsop, a fire in a recycling bin in Netherfield and controlled burning in Mansfield Woodhouse.
Thankfully only a few calls were received into Fire Control during the period of planned industrial action, and the Service was able to respond effectively to each of them with the limited resources available.
Our contingency plans will be reviewed and made ready for the next period of industrial action planned for Monday 4 November between 6am and 8am.
