Evelyn Hernandez, a spokesman for the New York hospital, said Sian Green has been upgraded to fair condition.
New York Police Department investigated the incident but the taxi driver involved in the crash said it was not his fault.
Mohammed Fasyal Himon said he was "very sorry" about the accident and blamed a cyclist for causing the crash.
