John Moore-Robinson, from Coalville in Leicestershire, suffered a ruptured spleen in 2006 but staff at the hospital failed to diagnose the injury and John died in agony at home
Shortly after John's death a report was published on behalf of the Stafford Coroner which condemned the actions of the hospital. However this report did not reach the coroner and the inquest recorded a narrative verdict.
John's parents have insisted that the first inquest did not hear all the evidence in the case and after a lengthy campaign the Attorney General granted permission to apply for a second inquest on the basis of this argument.
