Care home death: Five people released on bail

Five people have been released on bail following the death of a former Nottinghamshire carehome resident.

Ivy Atkin, 86, died in November 2012 shortly after the closure of Autumn Grange Residential Home in Sherwood Rise.

Two men, aged 56 and 64, and three women, aged 19, 20 and 28, have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Six others, three men aged 77, 44, and 37, and three women aged 52, 25, and 29, are still being questioned on suspicion of manslaughter.

Nottinghamshire Police says an investigation into the standard of care provided to residents at Autumn Grange is also under way.
