Channel victim's donations rise

The amount of money donated to a charity supported by swimmer Susan Taylor has reached nearly £80,000. She died trying to cross the English Channel in July. On Thursday 1st August hundreds attended her funeral in Leicestershire.

Mourners are arriving at St Mary's Parish Church, at Barwell in Leicestershire, for the funeral of Susan Taylor.

Mrs Taylor died two and a half weeks ago, after suddenly collapsing during an attempt to swim the English Channel.

At the time the 34-year-old was attempting the 21 mile swim to raise money for charity - including the Rainbows Children's Hospice in Loughborough.
