Police patrols stepped up after "mindless" racist mosque attack

Police have stepped up patrols in Redditch after a racist attack on a mosque in the town.

Graffiti including swastikas were painted onto the building in Jinnah Road early this morning.

The paint used had been taken from builders' cabins on the site, which is still under construction.

West Mercia Police said:

"Due to incidents happening nationally targeted patrols have been put in place and these will now be further increased as we will not tolerate mindless attacks of this nature."
