Children Killed In M6 Crash

Three children have been killed and two adults have been injured after a crash on the M6, West Midlands Ambulance Service has said. The motorway has been closed in both directions.

M6 car crash women to leave hospital

Two women injured in a car crash which killed one woman and two children on the M6 on Christmas Day are to be discharged from hospital today.

Police confirmed last night that the three people killed in the accident were two young brothers aged four and 10 and a 32-year-old woman.

The driver of the car, believed to be the boy's mother, and another female passenger, were taken to University Hospital of North Staffordshire.

The crash happened at 11.30am between junction 14 and 15 near Stoke-on-Trent. Both carriages were closed for several hours after the car overturned.
