A number of homes in Rugby suffered structural damage as a result of high winds on Wednesday evening (April 25).
The Met Office has confirmed that it's likely a tornado did hit the town last night.
Dozens of reports of a funnel cloud were reported at around 6pm last night in Rugby.
A spokesman for the Met Office said “A funnel cloud is a rotating column of air coming down from a thunder cloud.
“If they don’t hit the ground then it remains a funnel cloud. If the funnel cloud hits the ground then it becomes a tornado at that point.
“Having looks at the pictures of the damage we can see the cloud did hit the ground and it became a tornado. The damage is consistent with a tornado.”
