Central Whaley Bridge

A Derbyshire Police officer has won a bravery award for his work in helping stop the Whaley Bridge dam collapse in 2019.

Crews from across the Midlands are supporting the response at Whalley Bridge, after thousands of people were evacuated from their homes.

A bomb squad was called to the address in Derbyshire in the early hours of the morning.
