Westminster terror attack investigation continues

It the wake of the Westminster attack on Wednesday 22nd March, a woman who's 19-year-old son was radicalised by Islamic extremists has spoken of what she thinks could have prevented it.

Nicola Benyahia, from Birmingham, now runs a group to support families combatting radicalisation.

A 25-year-old boxer from Burton-on-Trent has spoken of his shock and horror after witnessing the violent attack outside the Palace of Westminster.

Frazer Clarke was walking to a coach when he witnessed the attack.

A 30-year-old man has been arrested in Birmingham by officers investigating the Westminster terror attack.

The man was arrested today (26 March) on suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts.

He was detained under the Terrorism Act (TACT) and is in police custody.

The man is the 12th person to be arrested in connection with the investigation, with nine others being released with no further action.

Another 58-year-old man, arrested in Birmingham, remains in police custody after a series of raids across the country.

Officers have carried out a total of 15 searches at various addresses in east London, south London, Brighton, Surrey, Carmarthenshire, Birmingham and Manchester.

Fourteen searches have now concluded, with one ongoing in Birmingham.

Four people were killed when Islamist extremist Khalid Masood went on an 82-second rampage in Westminster on Wednesday.
