Man arrested after four injured in city centre collision

A 21 year-old man has been arrested after a collision in Leicester city centre yesterday evening (Tuesday 1 November).

Police were called to Humberstone Gate just before 5pm following a report of a vehicle colliding with pedestrians.

Three men and a woman were injured during the incident. The men have since been discharged from hospital and the woman remains in the Leicester Royal Infirmary undergoing treatment.

Officers are working to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident.

There are delays on bus services in and around Leicester this evening due to a crash which happened in the city centre.

Humberstone Gate and Yeoman Street are currently closed as emergency services remain on the scene.

Police were called to Humberstone Gate, near to the junction with Charles Street, just before 5pm today.

Three people have been injured in the incident and one has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Humberstone Gate and Yeoman Street are currently closed and diversions are in place.
