Pride of Britain West Midlands Nominees: Sue Hodges

Now all this week we're announcing our nominees for the ITV Fundraiser of the Year in the Midlands. We asked for your nominations for people in our region that go the extra mile to help others and raise money for charity. The winner will be heading to the glitzy Daily Mirror Pride of Britain awards later this month.

Our final nominee is Sue Hodges from Birmingham. Sue's raised thousands for local charity Animal House Rescue - helping hundreds of animals along the way. The charity's founder says she's invaluable to the work they do - as Melissa Wright reports.

Pride of Britain East Midlands Nominees: Sharon Hands

Our final nominee is Sharon Hands from Stapleford in Nottinghamshire. Sharon is well known in her home town for raising thousands of pounds to support local children and families in need of help. Melissa Wright reports.

Next up, it's Jane Sutton from Burntwood in Staffordshire. Since losing her son Stephen to cancer back in 2014, Jane has continued to devote herself to raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust in his memory - as Melissa Wright reports.

Today, it's Kate Repton from Milford in Derbyshire. Kate has spent forty years fundraising for the neonatal unit at the Royal Derby Hospital. The charity she founded has brought thousands of pounds of lifesaving equipment into the unit - as Melissa Wright reports.

Our second nominee is Jag Poselay from Walsall. He's well known in the town for raising thousands for charity, including a campaign to buy a specially customised bike for a local boy with cerebral palsy - as Melissa Wright reports.

Our second nominee is Jess Simpkin from Rainworth in Nottinghamshire. Jess has been battling brain tumours since childhood, but that hasn't stopped her fight to raise money in the hope of finding a cure. Melissa Wright reports.

First up it's Charlotte Sharratt from Bromsgrove. Charlotte set up a charity to help the region's neonatal units after losing her baby daughter at just two weeks. She's gone on to raise thousands of pounds - as Melissa Wright reports.

First up, it's Chris Mark from Wigston in Leicestershire. He cycled an astonishing twenty thousand miles on his own from Alaska to Argentina to raise money for a children's charity. Melissa Wright went to meet him.
