I Am Team GB: Get involved in one of the nation's biggest ever sports days

Our Olympic heroes will be helping to create what's hoped will be the nation's biggest ever sports day, and everyone is invited to take part. Events are taking place up and down the region to inspire people to get into sport.

Olympic sensation Adam Peaty is meeting youngsters this morning at an I AM TEAM GB event in his home town of Uttoxeter in Staffordshire.

The gold and silver medallist says he's hoping to inspire others to take part in sport.

Olympic hockey star Sam Ward talks to I AM TEAM GB youngsters in Leicester

Olympic hockey player Sam Ward is marking I Am Team GB by joining young players at Leicester Ladies Hockey Club at Leicester Grammar School in Great Glen this morning.

Ward learnt the game playing at Leicester and Beeston in Nottingham.

Olympian Adam Peaty at Uttoxeter for I AM TEAM GB

Adam Peaty will be at Uttoxeter Leisure Centre in Staffordshire this morning to welcome people getting involved in I AM TEAM GB, which it's hoped will be the country's biggest sports day.

The swimming gold medallist wrote on his Facebook page that he hopes to inspire those who attend, and will be up for taking photos. He may even get involved in some of the sport.

The 21-year-old won Team GB's first gold at the Rio Olympics, in the 100m breaststroke.
