Latest on the lorry fire at M6 Northbound Staffordshire

One lane still remains closed on the M6 Northbound between junctions 15 and 16 following a lorry fire this morning.

The M6 Northbound between junction 15 and 16 has now reopened following the earlier lorry fire.

One lane still remains closed and delays are around 30 minutes.

Central Motorway Police say they expect lane 3 at junction 15 to reopen shortly. The M6 northbound between junction 14 and 15 remains closed after an earlier lorry fire and emergency repairs.

A lorry is on fire on the M6 between J15 and J16. The motorway has now reopened southbound, but remains closed northbound.

Highways England has tweeted that traffic is being turned away from the scene of a lorry fire on the M6. The motorway is closed between junction 15 and 16.

The M6 is closed in both directions due to lorry fire between J15 A500 (Stoke-On-Trent) and J16 A500 (Crewe / Stoke-On-Trent).
