Derby's water fountain in Market Place is flowing for the last time today.

It's being switched off at 11am this morning as part of city council spending cuts.

England and Great Britain swimmer Adam Peaty has said he's 'disappointed' at the decision to close Moorways swimming pool to the public.

The 21-year-old from Uttoxeter added that sports like swimming need investment to ensure high performance.

The council says the closure is part of necessary budget cuts and will save thousands of pounds each year.
