Burton-on-Trent's Victorian market hall opened its doors again today after a £1.5 million pound revamp.
The historic hall is 131 years old, and closed in July last year for the refurbishment. The work included bringing the upper level back into use.
It's hoped the new retail space will encourage specialist food and craft traders to set up shop in town.
East Staffordshire Borough Council said:
Since its original opening in 1883, this iconic Victorian market hall has been an intrinsic part of community life and will remain an important feature of Burton's identity after its extensive redevelopment."
