Police fear suspected fraudster may have left UK
Detectives fear that a suspected blackmailer and fraudster posing as a spiritual healer may have fled the country.
Det Sgt Mark Sinski said the man, known as Kamal-Ji - which is thought to be an alias - had previously used addresses in Thurmaston, Syston and near to Parker Drive, and said officers believe he may also have carried out frauds in other parts of the UK before moving overseas.
A picture of a man police would like to speak to in connection with the investigation has been released.

Detectives investigating a string of blackmails and frauds carried out by a so-called ‘spiritual leader’ calling himself Kamal-Ji have released a description of a suspect in the case.
- Aged in his 40s
- Dark-skinned - believed to be of Asian origin
- Stocky build
- Around 5ft 4ins to 5ft 6ins tall
- Short black hair, worn spiky or wavy on top
- Walks with a limp - it is not known if this is real or not
- Speaks softly, usually in Hindi
- Known to wear a traditional Indian white kurtha pyjama

A so-called ’spiritual healer’ is being hunted by police in connection with a series of blackmails and high-value frauds.
Kamal-Ji - believed to be a false name - purports to be a devotee of Indian guru Sai Baba, and offers healing and astrology services to help with business success, health and relationship issues.
Once he has gained their trust, he then asks his victims to hand over tens of thousands of pounds to buy high-value items.
A picture of a man police want to speak to about the incidents has now been released by Leicestershire Police as they try to track him down.
