Fire service stops chemical spillage
The Nottinghamshire Fire Service has stopped the spillage of hydrochloric acid in Pasture Road, Stapleford. The "container was righted" by them.
Eight gas type suits, one hose reel and a decontamination dam have been used.
Six people were evacuated from the affected premises and 47 children were evacuated from Pasture Road Community School and taken home by their parents.
Two members of the public were checked by the Nottinghamshire Ambulance Service and given the all clear.
Two firefighters were taken to hospital as a precaution.

Fumes from chemical spill 'causing a concern'
Dozens of people have been evacuated from a church after hydrochloric acid was spilt from a lorry.
Nottinghamshire fire crews arrived at 10.00am and say the fumes are 'causing a concern'.
The acid is thought to have leaked from a lorry outside the Auto Tech building in Stapleford.
Residents nearby are being advised to steer clear of the area and to keep the windows shut.
Pasture Road, Kennedy Drive, Moorbridge Lane and Hickings Lane are currently closed.

A church has been evacuated and roads have been closed after a chemical spill in Nottinghamshire.
A Nottinghamshire Fire Service spokesperson said that a chemical containing 36% hydrochloride has spilt at a business premises in Pasture Road and a nearby community church had been evacuated as a precaution.
Pasture Road, Kennedy Drive, Moorbridge Lane and Hickings Lane are currently closed to traffic.
