CITV's 30th Birthday

CITV, which until 2004 was presented from ITV Central's Birmingham studios, is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this weekend with an 'Old Skool' schedule of programmes. Shows made in the Midlands include Grotbags, and Woof in Nottingham.

Midlands made 'Woof!' back on TV as part of CITV's 30th birthday

CITV show 'Woof!' will be back on our screens this weekend as part of CITV's 30th birthday celebrations.

The drama featured a boy who could turn into a dog and the adventures he had in his shapeshifting role.

The programme was made by Central Independent Television and was broadcast from 1989 to 1997.

In the earlier series filming locations were in Moseley in Birmingham. Later it was filmed in West Bridgford in Nottingham.

Central TV's Rosie & Jim part of CITV's 30th Birthday tribute

Central Television's Rosie & Jim will be on our screens again this weekend as part of CITV's 30th anniversary.

It was produced by Ragdoll Productions and followed the characters on their narrowboat on adventures around the Midlands canal network.

It aired on CITV for 10 years from 1990 to 2000. It will be shown again on the CITV channel this weekend as part of their 'Old Skool' weekend of programming to mark the 30th anniversary of the Children's TV brand.
