Flood barriers taken down in the Gorge later today
The flood barriers in the Gorge will be taken down today by 6pm providing full access to the Wharfage.
All shops, restaurants and public houses on the Wharfage can still be accessed and parking will also be available.
Family home after stranded by floods over Christmas
A family is back home after spending the Christmas break stranded by floodwater in a holiday cottage. Eight adults, four children and a dog had no alternative but to make the best of it.

The Environment Secretary has celebrated the successful flood scheme recently opened in Upton upon Severn during a tour of the town.
The two flood defence schemes which have protected houses and businesses for the first time this winter cost £4.5m.
Mr Paterson toured the town with MP Harriett Baldwin. Both MPs paid tribute to the work of the Environment Agency for their work in helping people threatened by the bad weather.

Environment Secretary visits £4m flood defence scheme in Worcestershire
The Environment Secretary and North Shropshire MP is visiting Upton upon Severn this lunchtime to see £4.5 million flood defence scheme.
Owen Paterson will see the scheme which has protected 64 properties in the centre of the Worcestershire town.
It also gives Upton upon Severn residents and visitors dry access in and out of the town at times of flooding.
Mr. Paterson will also meet local Environment Agency staff operating the flood defence scheme to thank them for their work.
The town had a long history of flooding when the Severn burst its banks in heavy rains.

The Environment Agency Manager for Herefordshire and Worcestershire Dave Throup has said that the River Severn at Shropshire has peaked at Crew Green with a peak in Shrewsbury and Ironbridge later today.
