The 'Supreme Winner' of this years National Pie Awards is Dunkleys from Northampton.

Their winning entry was a Chicken, Ham, Mushroom, Buttered Leeks and Suet Pastry Pie.

The 4th Annual British Pie Awards are taking place at St Mary's church in Melton Mowbray.

The 4th annual British Pie Awards has begun at St Mary's church in Melton Mowbray.

The competition is hotly contested with nine hundred contributors bringing pies from all over the country.

Entries are up fifty per cent on last year, and the competition aims to celebrate the craft of the pie-maker.
