It may well be for one night only but Nottingham Forest are in the Premier League title race.

Tonight at the City Ground they face leaders Liverpool. If they win, Forest will go second and just three points behind the Merseysiders.

Six wins in a row has lifted Nuno Espirito Santo's side into a place that fans could only have dreamt of at the start of the season.

There are echos of Leicester City's incredible title win in 2016 and, frankly, that success makes it more believable that Forest can sustain a challenge.

They are on the same number of points after 20 games as Leicester were when they went on to become Champions.

The head coach avoids all talk of the table. Even if Forest win tonight, it's highly unlikely he would accept publicly that Forest are battling Liverpool for the crown.

What is undeniable though is the fact that Forest are in a race for Europe, very possibly even the Champions League. The top four are guaranteed to qualify for that competition and Forest are five points clear of fifth place Newcastle.

These are incredible times to be a Nottingham Forest fan, they are the talk of the Midlands, if they win tonight they will be the talk of the world.
