Two men arrested as police launch murder investigation after man found dead in Derby flat

A murder investigation is underway after a man in his 40s was found dead in a flat in Allenton, Derby.

Emergency services were called to Witney Close at 1:45pm on Thursday, 9 January, following reports of a man with serious injuries. He died at the scene.

Two men, both in their 50s and from Derby, were arrested on suspicion of murder later that afternoon. They remain in police custody.

Derbyshire Police are asking for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
