At the height of the blaze, seven fire engines attended the scene off Landor street, which started just after 10:15pm on Tuesday 7 January.
At 3:40am on Wednesday 8 January, West Midlands Fire Service said five fire crews remained to continue tackling the "large scrap metal fire".
In a later update, they said: "This was a scrap metal fire at a recycling plant, involving approximately 50 tonnes of materials.
"Crews worked to extinguish the fire using several hose reels. There were no casualties or injuries.
"Firefighters worked throughout the night, monitoring hotspots and ensuring all fire was extinguished. Site staff assisted firefighters by moving burnt materials into the open yard to be damped down.
