15-year-old charged with attempted murder after a boy, 14, is being treated for serious injuries

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder after a 14-year-old boy was stabbed in Oldbury.

The boy who was stabbed is in hospital with a serious condition after being stabbed in Oldbury in the early hours of 4 January.

West Midlands Police officers were called to Brunel Road, where the boy was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

A boy, aged 15 from Sandwell, who cannot be identified for legal reasons has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a knife in a public place. He remains in custody while investigations continue.

He is due to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on January 6.

West Midlands Police has confirmed there are extra officers in the coming days to offer reassurance to the public
