Long delays on M6 in Birmingham after accident at Spaghetti Junction
Motorists are being urged to allow extra time for their journeys into Birmingham due to an earlier accident at Spaghetti Junction.
There was a significant diesel spillage of approximately 500 litres which closed both lanes of the exit slip road at J6 for the A38 Gravelly Interchange.
One of those lanes has now reopened towards Salford Circus.
The other lane, will remain closed until resurfacing is completed overnight.
Traffic can still access the Aston Expressway.
This morning, there were around five miles of congestion on approach. Drivers were being advised to allow an extra 30 to 40 minutes journey time.
