Firefighters investigate Moseley blaze after eight crews sent to fire on St Mary's Row
A fire has broken out on the first floor of a building in Moseley.
West Midlands Fire Service attended the blaze at the Alcester Road and St Mary's Row junction.
There are eight crews dealing with the fire, which broke out around 5.30pm. Forty firefighters were involved in tackling the blaze.
After three hours the fire service tweeted to say that the fire was out, but warned that the incident was ongoing with staff investigating the cause of the fire, which is thought to have broken out in a cafe.
They are warning people to avoid the area as it is very busy.
No injuries were reported, with a local councillor suggesting that the premises was empty when the fire began.
