Famous rapper Lady Leshurr from Solihull charged with assault over alleged 'street fight'

A famous rapper from Kingshurst in Solihull has been charged with two counts of assault, after allegedly being involved in a street fight.

Lady Leshurr was involved in the alleged fight on Knotts Green Road in London, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Two women were taken to hospital following the incident. They have since been discharged from medical care.

The rapper is due to appear in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court today, Monday, October 24.

She rose to fame for her Queen's Speech series of freestyles, all of which went viral in 2015.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson told ITV News that Lady Leshurr, real name Melesha O’Garro, was charged with two counts of ABH at Knotts Green Road, E10 on Saturday, October 22.

They say another woman has also been charged in connection to the incident.

"Sherelle Smith, 28, was charged with one count of ABH at Knotts Green Road, E10 on Saturday, 22 October,’ the spokesman added.

"The two women were charged after police were called at 05:08hrs on Saturday, 22 October to Knotts Green Mews, E10 following reports of a fight at the location.

"‘Two women – both aged 27 – were taken to hospital. They have since been discharged."
