Derby Crown Court evacuated due to 'security concern'
Footage from Ashley Kirk shows people being evacuated from Derby Crown Court.
People have been able to return to Derby Crown Court after it was evacuated earlier today (4 February) due to an ongoing 'security concern', Derbyshire Police have said.
In a tweet, the police said that the incident had been raised at 10:20 AM this morning.
Court court proceedings had been halted and the building evacuated as a precaution.
Sources on the ground told ITV Central they had seen a police dog enter the building.
People were allowed back into the court just after 1.30pm this afternoon and cases being held there were able to resume.
Derbyshire Police said: "Searches have now taken place at Derby Crown Court following an earlier security concern, and people are returning to the building."
