Red Warnings: Flooding is 'imminent' in parts of Midlands, Environment Agency says
Two red flood warnings have been issued for parts of the Midlands, meaning flooding is 'imminent.'
The Environment Agency has said levels at the River Stour, in Stourbridge, are high as a result of persistent heavy rainfall.
It means flooding of property is 'imminent' in the areas around Prestwood, Bells Mill, Rushall Close, Morrow Way, Bradley Road, Canal Street and Mill Race Lane.
The Agency said: "We are closely monitoring the situation. Please move family, pets, possessions, valuables and cars to safety."
Meanwhile, the persistent heavy rainfall has also meant levels are high at the River Cole in Coleshill.
The Agency said "flooding is possible" on Tuesday around the Station Road area.
They added: "We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast. Please move family, pets, possessions, valuables and cars to safety and call 999 if in immediate danger."
It comes as the Met Office have forecasted more rain and showers for later today.
