It took a jury less than four hours to find a man guilty of killing an amateur footballer who was enjoying a night out with friends in Nottinghamshire earlier this year.

Jordan Sinnott, who was 25, died after being punched to the ground on January 25th.

Today, Kai Denovan, was unanimously found guilty of manslaughter, commons assault and affray.

While another man, Cameron Matthews, pleaded guilty to manslaughter at an earlier hearing - admitting he was the one who administered the fatal punch.

Sean Nicholson, who's 22, from Beechways, Retford, admitted affray in connection with the same incident.

Denovan, who was dressed in a white shirt, waved to people in the public gallery as he was led away.

The judge thanked members of the jury for their service during the pandemic - as social distancing had made proceedings difficult.

All three will be sentenced on Friday (31st July).
