Coronavirus update: A breakdown of cases in Leicester and Leicestershire
A total of 90 positive coronavirus cases were recorded in Leicester and Leicestershire over the weekend.
The majority of the cases were recorded in Leicester, where 70 new cases were added to the city's toll.
On a district level, Melton saw the highest increase, with six new cases confirmed, but the area still has the lowest number of cases in the county.
Oadby and Wigston, where widespread testing is now taking place, saw an increase of five cases.
Blaby and Charnwood each had three new cases confirmed, North West Leicester added two and Harborough added one to its total.
The only area not to see an increase, since Friday July 24, is Hinckley and Bosworth.
Cases and infection rates according to the Department of Health and Social Care on Sunday July 26:
Leicester - 4,804 total cases. Rate per 100,000 population: 1,352
Blaby - 513 total cases. Rate per 100,000 population: 510
Charnwood - 815 total cases. Rate per 100,000 population: 446
Harborough - 388 total cases. Rate per 100,000 population: 419
Hinckley and Bosworth - 545 total cases. Rate per 100,000 population: 484
Melton - 173 total cases. Rate per 100,000 population: 338
North West Leicestershire - 329 total cases. Rate per 100,000 population: 322
Oadby and Wigston - 482 total cases. Rate per 100,000 population: 844
It's expected that a decision on what happens next to the extended local lockdown in Leicester, Oadby and Wigston will be made later this week.
A review on the current restriction is due to be complete by August 1.
