This is how Alton Towers will look when it reopens

Theme park Alton Towers will reopen to the public on Saturday, but it will be a very different experience, thanks to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Here's what to expect:

  • Customers will have their temperatures checked

  • Different groups will be separated on rides

  • Rides will be cleaned more frequently

  • Hand sanitiser in queues

  • Staff and customers will wear face coverings on rides

  • Food will only be available to takeaway

  • Indoor rides are still closed

  • Tickets need to be bought in advance

  • Only full to a quarter of normal capacity

  • Shorter queues

Because there'll be fewer guests at the park - the queues may be shorter for popular rides,
