Hundreds turn out for Black Lives Matter protest in Solihull
Hundreds of people in Solihull showed their support for the Black Lives Matter campaign, with a peaceful protest.
Crowds gathered at the terrace in front of the Asda supermarket on Stratford Road in Shirley yesterday afternoon (June 13).
Others protests were including in Bearwood in Birmingham.
They came out to honour the memory of George Floyd, a black American man who died when a white police officer held him down, kneeling on his neck for over 8 minutes.
The protest was to highlight racial injustice at home and abroad.
Organisers advised people to keep to strict social distancing measures in order to protect the public throughout the day.
