Two men have been arrested after a disorder broke out in Coventry city centre on Tuesday night (June 9).

The men aged 29 and 33 handed themselves on Thursday night (June 11) after seeing an appeal by the police.

They will be questioned in connection with the disorder.

Several hundred people met in Broadgate Square from 5pm on Tuesday to celebrate the news that Coventry City FC had been promoted to the Championship.

At around 9.15pm it's reported some of the group chased two men who were not part of the gathering.

It’s alleged one of the two men brandished a knife towards the group.

A window was broken during the disturbance and bottles were thrown but nobody was injured.

A knife that was found in a nearby bin just after the incident will be forensically examined.

A further two people have also been identified and will be voluntary interviewed in due course.

Police have released a further image of a man we wish to speak to as part of the investigation.
