A brother and sister violin duo from Sutton Coldfield have been helping to put a smile on the faces of care home residents during lockdown.

Priya and Arun Saini staged performances broadcasted over video chat to care homes across the country.

Their mother, Jyoti came up with the idea, while she has been working with a team in Walsall to take swabs from people in care homes.

They've had bookings from as far away as Newcastle and Sunderland - where one care home was so delighted, they've already had two performances.

As well as lifting spirits of the residents of care homes, Priya and Arun have also set up a fundraising page for the Care Workers Charity.

The pair have smashed their target by more than double the amount.

Residents in a care home in Sunderland think the pair's performances are 'great and absolutely love them'.

Priya and Arun are hoping more care homes will get involved, and they can raise even more money for the charity.

And in the meantime - they're rehearsing every day. Helping to spreading smiles - through the sound of music.
