Man charged with trying to murder a woman and her baby

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman and her baby were found injured in Tipton.

Officers were called to a property on Mansion Drive just before 12.30am on Thursday (28 May) following reports of a domestic incident.

A seven-month old child was found in a serious condition, and was taken to hospital.

He remains in a critical condition after suffered multiple injuries.

A 37-year-old woman was also taken to hospital.

She remains in hospital in a stable condition where she is being treated for stab wounds.

Aamer Araf, 32, of Mansion Drive, will appear in custody before Wolverhampton magistrates court on Saturday 30th May to face two charges of attempted murder.
