Fire crews battle 'large fire' on top of the Wrekin
Fire crews have been battling a 'large fire' on top of the Wrekin in Shropshire.
Emergency services were called to the hill at around 2:30pm on Friday (May 29) after reports of a fire in open.
Three fire engines have been in attendance to tackle the blaze and number of specialist appliances were also used to doust the fire.
The public have been urged to stay clear of the Wrekin as the fire is deep under the surface and will take the evening to fully extinguish.
In the same message Shropshire Fire and Rescue reminded people to:
Don't have barbecues on grassland.
Dispose of litter in bins - especially glass.
Make sure cigarettes are properly extinguished
Don't have garden fires as embers can drift
