Matlock Bath has attracted visitors once again this bank holiday weekend despite calls for people to stay away.

The village reported large numbers of visitors last weekend and this footage filmed today shows rows of motorbikes parked up in the area.

There is no suggestion any of the bikers have done anything wrong but Derbyshire officials will be disappointed so many visited despite the warnings.

South Derbyshire District Council leaders have asked visitors to respect local communities on the bank holiday weekend and consider coming later in the year instead.

They say many local people were left feeling vulnerable and at-risk following large numbers visiting the Peak District and other parts of Derbyshire.

They are reminding people that if they do visit the area to exercise, public toilets are still expected to be closed and - like the rest of the country - pubs, restaurants and cafes are closed too.
