Nadine Dorries talks mental health during the pandemic
Nadine Dorries, the Minister for Mental Health has spoken of how the government has supported NHS workers during the coronavirus pandemic.
She says, early on they recognised considerable support would be needed and at the end of March, a helpline for staff was put in place.
She said: "It's fully confidential which also gives them free offers of one to one counselling and further ongoing support should they need it.”
Ms Dorries also spoke about the treatment of MPs online, in particular women.
She said: "Female MPs...do get a huge amount of abuse on social media and I think the important thing to do is to make sure on social media we do set an example."
