Wife pays tribute to her 'soul mate' support worker husband who died from coronavirus
A woman from Coventry has paid tribute to her husband after he died from coronavirus.
Charles Kwame Tanor was a support worker and father of two boys, aged 12 and four.
His wife, Prudence, says he was originally from Ghana, but that the UK became his home after he moved here.
Charles worked on the frontline during the coronavirus fight and after coming down with a cough, was admitted to hospital, where he was on a ventilator for 11 days.
Sadly, medical staff couldn't save him and his ventilator had to be turned off.
Prudence said:
Prudence said her sons are confused as to why their dad is not coming home and they are lost without him - but they want their father to be remembered fondly.
She added Charles’ colleagues were like a second family to him.
